We had so much fun at our swim lesson & family swim at Goldfish Swim School Milford!
We started the day with a 30-minute trial lesson followed by an hour of family swim in the 90-degree heated shiver-free pool. Goldfish Swim School is a state-of-the-art aquatic facility dedicated entirely to year-round indoor swim classes and programs for children 4 months to 12 years old.
From the moment families walk in the door, they enter a tropical oasis. brightly colored walls, tiki cabanas, and surfboard benches surround Goldfish’s island-style hair-drying station and border their pool. The school is abuzz with the sounds of kids kicking and hands-on swimming instruction.
Parents were able to watch their child’s swim lessons from the gallery. Goldfish Swim School offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. The school’s number one focus and main priority is educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water. In a class size of no more than 4 children to 1 swim instructor, children receive the personalized attention they need to master skills to be safe and confident in the water.
At the end of the class, the instructors told the parents where their children excelled and what skills they needed to work on. They also told us with confidence what level we would enroll our children in. We had children from the age of 2 to 9 trial their classes, and they all left class with a big smile asking to come back! As did the parents!
We had a few-minute break between class and open swim while they prepared their state-of-the-art pool for all of us. Goldfish’s new pool features an advanced water purification system, guaranteeing a clean, safe environment for learning swimmers, and fun décor / teaching techniques to excite children about swimming!
Once they were ready, we jumped back in and enjoyed an hour of swimming and playing together! We all felt incredibly confident during the open swim because the lifeguard’s eyes never left the pool. They offer different swimming tools such as platforms that the kids can swim to and stand on, and barbells and kickboards to assist in swimming. They also have Coast Guard-approved life jackets offered to all families during family swims.
