Pros to Love

Ample Parking

No need to stress about finding a spot! There’s plenty of parking available with the huge lot.

Toddler-Friendly

Your little ones will stay engaged and entertained with structures specifically designed for toddlers and younger children, including interactive music stations, marble spinners, and an alphabet board.

Variety of structures and equipment

There are 2 baby swings, 2 ADA-accessible swings, and 2 belt swings. The play structures have separate areas for 6-23 months, 2-5 years, and 5-12 years. An adaptive merry-go-round and interactive play stations for inclusive play. A basketball court and baseball field for the sports fans. Lastly, there is a porta potty, two picnic tables, and two benches onsite for sitting.

Soft Rubber Flooring

The playground features soft rubber flooring, reducing the risk of injuries during play.

Fenced-In for Safety

The playground is fenced-in, giving you peace of mind.

Walkable Attractions

Norcross Park is a fantastic spot for your little ones to play, but it’s also surrounded by some of Grafton’s best local treasures. After an afternoon at the playground, grab lunch at Bushel and Peck, followed by a sweet ice cream or a delicious coffee from Uncommon Cow. Stroll over to Grafton Common, where you can enjoy the Grafton Farmers Market during the warmer months. For shopping, explore the Grafton Country Store or browse the unique finds at Off the Common Antiques. You can also visit the Grafton Public Library, though note that as of this publication, the children’s room is under construction. Check their website for updates on available play spaces.

Things to Keep in Mind

Minimal Shade

The only shade you will find is under an awning that covers one of the picnic tables, so be sure to bring hats and sunscreen. The sun can also make the equipment too hot to use during mid-afternoon hours.

Mixed Flooring

Although there are sections of the playground that have soft rubber flooring there are wood chips are used around the play structures.

Fall Risks

Some of the play structures may present fall risks for younger or less coordinated children.

Accessibility

While the swings, interactive stations, and merry-go-round are ADA accessible, the playground structures aren’t fully inclusive.

With its central location and kid-friendly amenities, Norcross Park in Grafton, MA offers the perfect blend of outdoor fun and local charm. Have you been yet? Did you love this new park?
