Mom’s Night Out at Agronomy Farm Vineyard Recap!

0

It was a beautiful night at Agronomy Farm Vineyard!

In contrast to our last Mom’s Night at the Agronomy Farm Vineyard tasting room, the weather was absolutely gorgeous, so we took full advantage of sipping our drinks of choice out on the beautiful deck!

We had a mom with an 8-week-old baby (shout out to all the mamas making it out of the house in those early days of postpartum!!), another mom who had recently had her third baby, and everyone in between. We talked about work, tongue ties, and induction ovens and enjoyed the opportunity to just relax and meet new friends. It was another wonderful, low-key, casual evening spent with some amazing mamas. We can’t wait to do it again!

The tasting room and grounds of Agronomy Farm Vineyard are stunning. Marissa and her husband Corey, are the owners and they are incredibly knowledgeable about the winemaking process. They also make cider and maple syrup. Marissa knew exactly what type of red or white we would each love, and honestly, their wine was unbelievably delicious. There was no way we were leaving without a bottle or two for later!

Agronomy Farm Vineyard

A scientist and an engineer, Corey and Marissa O’Connor have spent the past 15 years working for large corporations. Their dream of opening a farm and vineyard is the result of their interest in science and technology but is also fueled by their desire to expand on the “cube” and corporate life and take a more hands-on approach to what it means to work. The idea came about as a result of their desire to make quality craft goods on their own property and to create a place where people could have an experience bringing nature, friends, and high-quality handcrafted goods together. Agronomy Farm Vineyard was established as an idea on their honeymoon in 2011 in Tahiti but would not come to fruition until they purchased the property in Oakham in 2013. The 1.85-acre vineyard was planted in May of 2014 with half of the vines a red varietal, Marquette, and the other half a white varietal called Cayuga. The tasting room was built and opened for the first time in October 2018.
