Central Mass Mom

Alison grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts and has resided in Central Massachusetts since 2013 after she met her husband. Alison lives with her husband, son (2017), daughter (2021) and their German Shepherd. She works part-time as a Registered Nurse doing direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical Unit, she has also worked in a nurse educator role and a leadership role during her career. Alison has been a nurse since 2011 and is planning to start graduate school in 2024. She feels lucky to have such a flexible work schedule that allows her to spend so much quality time with her children and homeschool her son. Alison is happiest when she is by the ocean and spending time with her family. She loves reading, cooking, traveling, outdoor movies by a campfire and doing any kind of arts and crafts with her children.

Amanda resides in Milford but is a Boston girl at heart. She is happily married and has a beautiful boy Desmond (2018) who happens to be on the spectrum and is nonverbal. Amanda is passionate about two things: her family and her friends. She is a hard working stay at home mom who is constantly striving to be a better version of herself each and every day!

Amy Williams was raised in Fitchburg, MA and has been living in the burbs outside Milford, MA for nearly 10 years. Amy is a mom to two littles- Melody (2019) and Atlas (2022), who along with their Plott Hound Carl, keep both she and her husband on their toes. Amy is a licensed mental health counselor and business owner, specializing in trauma healing for women and adolescents ages 16+. Whether she's tending to her garden, hiking local trails with her family, or (her favorite!) exploring by sea on her Stand Up Paddleboard, Amy truly believes there's nothing better for your mental health than connecting with nature.

Ann was born and raised in central MA! Ann attended Worcester State University for her undergraduate degree in psychology, and recently completed her masters in special education from Endicott College. Ann is a mother of two, Emma (2021) and Mikey (2023). She is also a dog mom to the best German Shepherd pup Brody! During the day, Ann is a special education teacher working with elementary school children who have social and emotional needs. When she's not at work, Ann is often either spending time with her children, or is enjoying a winery with her husband Mike.

Annie was born and raised in Massachusetts and loves raising her daughter (2019) and son (2021) here. She is a true extrovert, and loves meeting new people, and finding ways to connect others to one another. Annie feels passionately about building a diverse, supportive, judgement-free community both online and in-person, where moms can connect and find their tribe. She began writing for CMM at its launch in January of 2020, and then took ownership in August of 2021.

Ari is a native of Princeton, MA and now lives in Holden with her husband, Sam, 3-year-old son, Henry, and 1-year-old, Ruby, after years of working in LA's TV industry. This certified yoga teacher is the voice behind The Good Getter - a lifestyle blog that touches on all-things baby, healthy living, and travel. When she’s not working as a full-time social media manager or hanging out with her guys, she can be found shaking it at a Zumba class, adventuring in Maine or scoping out the best coffee in the area.

Ashlee is originally from Winchendon, MA and now lives in Worcester, MA where she purchased a home back in 2016 with her husband. Ashlee and her husband had their first child, Hayes, in October 2022. Ashlee has been in education for over a decade. For the last 8 years, she has been teaching first grade in Framingham, MA. She enjoys being with her friends and family as well as trying new places for her "foodie" instagram account! She loves staying local and enjoying what Worcester and the surrounding areas have to offer!

Ashley is the wife, mama, and creator behind the blog Everything’s Hunky Dorey. She enjoys writing about everyday life as a family of six, motherhood, and all of their fun adventures. Ashley is a born & raised southerner who just recently moved to Massachusetts in 2021. She has been a stay-at-home mom since 2013 when her oldest son was born, and now has two sons and two daughters. You can typically find her with a coffee in one hand and a camera in the other, as she enjoys practicing her photography skills any chance she gets. She is always up for a group playdate at the park, exploring trails in the area, and especially, a mom’s night out!

Autumn grew up in the suburbs of Boston and moved to Central MA in 2014. Autumn and her husband James got married in 2013. Autumn is a mom of two, Owen and Molly. Autumn loves to travel and is always planning her next trip. She has two cats named Opie and Tig. Autumn loves to bake and try new recipes in the kitchen. She enjoys craft and home improvement projects and is known for taking on too much (like painting her kitchen cabinets at 7months pregnant). Autumn and her family now live in Shrewsbury.

Cyndi was born and raised in Central Mass. She has moved around numerous times, but always ends up back in the same two towns she grew up in. Before kids, Cyndi was an avid runner and hiker, a personal trainer, an instructor of group fitness, aerial arts, pole fitness, and yoga, as well as a fitness/ nutrition class. Once having her son Luka (2016), she worked a “regular” job before leaving to welcome her daughter Bodhi (2019) and become a stay-at-home Mom. Cyndi has since gone back to school to be a Nurse Midwife, and has returned to running, adding ultramarathoner to her repertoire. She enjoys more strenuous hikes with friends, but often brings her kids on shorter hikes as well, either alone or with friends. The entire family enjoys going tent-camping in the mountains multiple times a year- her kids have been camping every year of their lives! Cyndi also enjoys foraging and whipping up new meals with what she finds. If you’re looking for Cyndi, you’ll find her outside somewhere!

After being born and raised in Metrowest, Darian found a new home in Central Mass in early 2021. Now the mom to a fiery 2-year-old girl, Darian juggles the whirlwind of stay-at-home parenthood with her career as a freelance copywriter and blogger.

When she’s not busy writing or foiling the latest toddler scheme, you can find her trying out new instant pot concoctions or snuggled up on the couch with her princess belting out their favorite Disney tunes!

Emily is originally from the MetroWest area but has been in Central Mass for about 15 years. She, first, was a dog mom who loved to travel with her fur babies before she met her husband. Then, she settled down in a nice farm town and added two children to her pack. She enjoys traveling with her family and has a wild hobby of collecting limited edition cloth diapers. She is a former pediatric sleep consultant, who still loves all things sleep, works as a paramedic, and has a crafting side hustle making custom clothes and bags.

Flannery is a Worcester native who left after high school, traveled the world, and eventually settled down in Marlborough with her French husband, Emile. She has 1 son, Felix (2022), and 1 daughter coming in June 2023. She works in HR at TJX, and is building a side hustle as a leadership coach. Her dream is to bring more women in their 20s and 30s together to connect, inspire each other, and believe that their life can look more like they want it to!

Gina was born and raised in Central Mass. She currently lives in Oxford with her Husband, Scott, and 2 children, Justin (2017) and Julia (2019). Gina works as the Community Services Supervisor for a non-profit Social Service Agency, and Is lucky to work a flexible schedule which allows her plenty of time for adventures with her kids. Gina loves live theater and has been involved with several community theaters over the years. Gina runs the Youth Theater Program for the local community theater and is very proud to say her kids love the spotlight! Gina also enjoys reading, singing, crafting, vacations down the Cape and spending time with her very large, extended family. Gina also volunteers for her church and the local Alzheimer’s Support Network. Gina is always up for trying new things!

Originally from northern Illinois, Jessie moved to central Massachusetts in April of 2020 with her husband Brian and two dogs Sadie and Gracie. Her little Valentine, Lucy, was born on February 14, 2022. She is currently working full-time as a Senior Administrative Assistant for a staffing agency in Waltham, MA. In her spare time, Jessie enjoys baking, reading, and making handmade soap, although she has not had the opportunity to make soap since moving to Massachusetts. Her favorite things about living in central Massachusetts are the orchards open year-round and the beautiful landscapes. Jessie is looking forward to being a part of Central Mass Mom and believes that moms everywhere deserve a support system whether it be online or in the community.

Jillian lives in Hudson, MA with her husband, son and dog Dino. Jillian is a mom to her human son, Jacob who was born in 2020 (yup that’s right a pandemic baby) and her fur baby Dino, which her and her husband adopted in 2018. Jillian is a full time stay at home mom and works part time at T.J. Maxx. She likes to play softball and plays in a woman’s league in Hudson. Jillian also makes deco mesh wreaths for holidays and seasons. Jillian loves the beach and sitting by the pool. She also LOVES going on cruises with her family. Being a mom is the most rewarding and frustrating job in the whole world and Jillian is so lucky to be able to do it every day.

Kate Hayes was born and raised in western MA, before heading to college in Boston to study neuroscience. After graduation, she lived in NYC for nearly a decade and CT for two years, before moving to Shrewsbury in 2021. She has a 3.5 year old daughter and a 16 month old son. Kate is a full-time working mom, leading the corporate leadership development programs at Echoing Green, a global leadership accelerator. Outside of her day job, she is a trained leadership coach and facilitator who loves to work with moms. She runs a local moms group in Shrewsbury, focused on connecting moms through deeply engaging conversations. When she’s not working, she loves to travel the world, cook her way through her cookbook collection, practice yoga, and spend time with her adorable children and husband.

Kayla is a married mom of two boys, Miles (2017) and Taron (2020) . She has two cats, also male. She is currently living in Framingham. While she moved around a lot growing up she has always considered Massachusetts her home base. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Human Development and Family studies. Kayla works as the director of a PCA program, assisting people in Massachusetts with disabilities and other chronic conditions live as independently as possible. In her free time, when she isn’t reading, writing, or running a small craft business (CraftedbyKBC), she is a chapter leader of the Framingham Dignity Matters branch, a nonprofit dedicated to making sure all women and children, regardless of their socioeconomic status, have access to period products.

Laurelle Farrell is a wedding and portrait photographer behind AR Images in Marlborough MA. She also provides photographic and strategic social marketing and web solutions for various small businesses locally and across the country. Laurelle is the co-owner of Timeless Bridal Creations which provides alternative bouquets and decor for brides to be. Laurelle lives in Marlborough with her husband Jon, daughter Amelia and pups Taylor and Bella. When she isn’t chasing her toddler around she can usually be found snuggled up in fuzzy socks with a good book, or enjoying her favorite ice cream.

Maggie has called Ayer home for over a decade after originally coming to Massachusetts from Syracuse, NY for college. She lives there with her husband, their two kids and two dogs. You can find her out hiking (okay, nature walking) on local trails, kayaking on one of the many local ponds and lakes, or visiting a coffee shop or brewery. Maggie enjoys being a stay-at-home mom and loves finding ways to be engaged in the local community, from coaching soccer to volunteering in the school library. She also likes supporting her husband's business, Still River Financial Planning, on the social media front. A big part of Maggie's story is being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 24. While she is many years out from her diagnosis and cancer free, it will never stop being a defining part of her life (and she is always happy to support anyone going through it - seriously, please reach out).

Nicole is a native Texan but has spent the last 20 years living in Massachusetts. She graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising. Nicole currently lives in Grafton, MA with her husband, son, their two cats and dog. Nicole spent 20 years in the retail industry as both a merchandise buyer and manager of merchandise planning in Boston and Metro West. As the next chapter of her career, Nicole started her own real estate business as a Realtor at Lamacchia Realty. Nicole loves connecting with people and giving back to her community by serving on the Grafton Economic Development Commission. She loves nature hikes with her family and their dog Rocky, an 85lbs Weimaraner. When she isn't cheering on her son at a soccer, lacrosse or basketball game, you can usually find her at home gardening or planning out her next home project.

Robin grew up and currently resides in Uxbridge with her husband and their four children and three cats. She has 8-year-old twins, a 4-year-old, and a 1-year-old. In 2020, they decided that homeschooling was the right choice for their family and they haven't stopped yet. She dreams of having a homestead and lots of acres in the future, but for now, they garden and hopefully get some more animals for their small 1-acre lot. She loves camping with her family (her youngest was only 4 weeks old on her first trip). Her husband always says she is happiest when she is by the ocean and when her nose is in a good book. You will find her behind the camera lens capturing photos, teaching women how to use makeup, and coaching her children's sports teams.
