Feast & Fettle to the Rescue

Feast & Fettle recently gave us the chance to try their meal delivery service and we couldn’t wait to dig in. Our team has a wide range of dietary needs and preferences, but lucky for us, Feast & Fettle has something for just about everyone. They even have add-on breakfast and kids lunch options!

Each order is hand-delivered in insulated bags by Feast & Fettle vans, nothing is ever shipped, so the freshness is simply unmatched. Heating/serving instructions are included with every dish, so there’s no guesswork in making it taste just the way the Feast & Fettle chefs intended.

This past week has been quite busy prepping for back-to-school. My schedule was packed with school clothes shopping, and a new season of sports practices and games, all on top of our regular weekly tasks and work. As a busy mother, my time is precious, and the convenience of having these meals delivered to my doorstep was a game changer. It reduced the stress of planning all our meals and cooking every night. It was a great way to bring balance to a hectic week and ensure my family got meals that were not only healthy but also delicious.

Adding Feast & Fettle to our lives has truly allowed me to breath a sigh of relief, having ready-made nutritious and delicious meals delivered right to our doorstep. What really wowed me about our first delivery was the freshness of all of the ingredients. The salad ingredients genuinely tasted fresh from my backyard garden (if only I had one). That fresh lettuce crunch just hits differently.

As we quickly approach the fall (my favorite season), our family’s schedule gets pretty chaotic. We are a homeschooling family of six, with kids signed up for many sports and activities – keeping us on the field many nights! Since they are home every day they also eat a lot! Our schedule can get so busy that sometimes I even forget to eat a meal myself.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to try Feast & Fettle! We are a gluten-free family, so finding meals that can accommodate us can be difficult. With Feast & Fettle, we could easily find gluten-free (GF) meals by looking for the no-wheat symbol on the menu. Some meals that weren’t GF could also be customized to exclude certain ingredients.

The food was so delicious! Some of our favorites were the steak, salmon, stuffed peppers, Mexican street corn with cotija cheese, and several different salads. The bonus – our kids even loved the meals! Doing a service like Feast & Fettle allows them, and us, to try new foods we wouldn’t necessarily make at home. And it saved us a ton of time not having to prepare or cook dinner.

I never thought I was the type of person who would sign up for a food delivery service. First, I love to cook and don’t mind the prep (the cleanup is a different story). I also cannot eat dairy and have found very few services that have good allergy-free options. When I had the opportunity to try Feast & Fettle, I was intrigued. I was both surprised and delighted upon opening the online menu to see the options. Not only were there multiple dairy-free options, they were not exclusively vegan, and the ingredient list (also appreciated!) showed fresh, non-processed, flavorful ingredients.

The morning that I realized my Feast & Fettle order was arriving, I felt relief and excitement. Knowing I didn’t need to cook allowed me to do everything else I needed to do – work, play with my kids, prep lunches for the next day, among other things. Over the next four days, my family and I enjoyed every item (there was even a little fight for the last bit of the vegan brownie).

For entrees, we chose the simply grilled steak, curry tofu, dairy-free pesto pasta, and salmon. We coupled those with six different sides. Every dinner was flavorful, healthy, and easy. And the clean-up was a breeze, with no pots or pans to worry about. Bonus? The containers the food came in are completely reusable and dishwasher safe. 

As we enter a new school year, I know I will definitely order from Feast & Fettle again. The gift of having one less thing on my proverbial plate – coupled with a whole bunch of deliciousness on the dinner plate – is just what this working mom needs in order to do it all.
