Central Mass is full of great summer camps, but finding the best one for your kids can be a daunting process! We know you’re busy, that’s why we’ve done the work for you and rounded up all the options we could find in the Central Mass area. So, we hope this summer camp guide makes the task of planning your family’s summer a little less stressful and a little more fun!
We are so appreciative to The Story School and The Children of Tomorrow for sponsoring this guide. At the bottom of this page, there is a comprehensive list of summer camp options in Central Mass!
The Story School is an educational nonprofit live-action role-play summer camp located in the woods of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton, MA.
A trained staff of educators, game designers, and counselors immerse campers ages 8 – 18 in an epic adventure story pulled from history, mythology, and literature.
By day, our campers become heroes battling fantastical monsters, solving interactive STEM puzzles, and applying roleplaying skills to level up and save the world. By night, our campers play board games, gather around campfires, and build memories with their roommates forging friendships that last a lifetime.
In an open community embracing neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ campers, The Story School weaves social education, leadership training, and hands-on learning into the fabric of our fantastical adventures.
Spend your summer in a story and discover the hero within!
If you are looking for a fun, safe and creative environment for your school age children this summer, look no further!
Campers will have opportunities to explore drawing, painting, woodworking, science experiments, building and engineering activities, sewing, clay creations, sculpting, tie-dye art, cooking, music & movement, lego challenges, drama and much, much more!!
The children can choose to participate in a variety of activities every day in our air-conditioned kids fitness & game room, art room, outdoor classroom and as well as in countless outdoor activities and plenty of interactive group games and water games (water games do not involve swimming; they will involve sprinklers, water tables, water balloons and other wet activities) to help refresh active children.
Our program is one of very few summer camps in this area that is licensed and monitored by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
