Father’s Day Gifts He’ll Actually Use (and Love!)

0

Ready to nail Father’s Day this year? We’re ditching the generic and focusing on practical gifts that dads actually want – the kind the whole family can enjoy, too! I cornered my husband (dad of our crew) to get the real scoop on what he wants. Together, we’ve compiled his tried-and-true favorites and his top-secret wish list items for Father’s Day (or his upcoming birthday!).

Consider this your guide to Father’s Day gifts that he’ll actually use and love—straight from a dad in the trenches:

36″ Blackstone Grill

He loves our two Blackstone grills that we have now—one for camping and then one for home, but with four growing kids, we really need to upgrade to the bigger Blackstone for our home. He loves the 36″ that comes with a cover and 4 burners!

Solo Stove

I caught my husband looking at these the other day at the store because we love to go camping, and some campsites don’t have firepits anymore, and hello, what is camping without a fire? These are the perfect solution!

Cornhole Set

He built a cornhole set for my brother-in-law years ago that we inherited back when they scooted out on their year-long trip across country, and it has been great to have, but her really needs a new cornhole set—especially now having pre-teens who love to play with us!

New Cookware

We haven’t had decent cookware since our bridal shower (that was 15 years ago), so it is time for new cookware. We like to live a non-toxic lifestyle as much as our budget allows, so here are two different cookware sets that he likes that are safer options: Ninja and Caraway.

Bowflex Weights

My husband is always so busy working a job where he is on his feet all day and taking care of our home when he isn’t working, so he never works out, but he promised that this year he would start working out more. These weights are perfect because he can take them anywhere and adjust them easily.

His Favorite Clothing

When I was grilling him for ideas, he said maybe clothes that he really likes or needs. My husband does not go shopping for himself, so if I don’t buy it, he will wear the same clothes for decades. He definitely needs a new Carhartt jacket for the winter, new hats, and athletic clothes for working out (see above how he promised me he’d start working out this year, ha).

Feast & Fettle

When I met my husband, he was a sous chef and I was a cocktail waitress at a banquet facility, so you know he is an amazing cook. He makes a lot of our dinners since I usually work when he gets out of work, but sometimes he wishes we had food in the fridge that was healthy and easily reheated. Being a celiac family makes it a lot harder to just order out whenever we want, but having a Feast & Fettle membership would give him a few dinner nights off each week. Coffee Travel Mug

We are parents to four young kids, so you can imagine how much coffee we both drink. A new coffee mug that fits in a cupholder is a must, since we are always on the go! Yeti is one of our go-to travel coffee mugs.

I hope these ideas help you find something special for the dad in your life that he’ll truly appreciate this Father’s Day. To all the incredible dads out there who provide and care for their kids, Happy Father’s Day!
