4 Fall Outdoor Dining Spots in Central Mass

Outdoor Dining | Central Mass Mom

Many restaurants offer outdoor seating where you can take advantage of the crisp fall weather. Here are four recommendations for outdoor dining in Central Mass:

Wachusett Mountain, Princeton

Get out for a hike, enjoy the Skyride and get a bite to eat at Wachusett Mountain.  Wachusett Mountain is a Fall favorite in Central Mass with multiple trails and foliage scenery galore.  Check out their events page for Food Truck Fridays, Cruisin’ Cars and O’Brien’s Grill in this beautiful setting.

KRO’s On The Common, Templeton

Located in historic Templeton Center, KRO’s On The Common is a newly established restaurant in a 200+ year-old Colonial home that was formerly a breakfast/lunch/antique shop.  The menu rotates and features local, seasonal ingredients with specials posted regularly on social media.  They offer picnic table dining on a first-come, first-serve basis, online ordering, or make a reservation for one of their weekend evening events in Gail’s Garden.

Red Apple Farm, Phillipston

Wander the apple orchards of this beautiful farm and pick your own apples, pumpkins, and sunflowers.  This farm also features a country store with apple cider donuts to die for, handmade fudge, and other local goodies.  For the main course, their Brew Barn features outdoor dining of BBQ food with local beers, wines, and music.

Stonecow Brewery, Barre

Offering field to flame BBQ food, local beer, kombucha, and more, Stonecow Brewery is a nice family destination.  Walk around the farm, listen to live music, see the animals, and get the kids ice cream.  There are food and fun for all ages.  You can dine on local and seasonal grub in their wide-open barn or out on the patio overlooking rolling hills of farmland.

Happy Fall!
